Now accepting applications for summer 2024 and for the academic year 2024/25.

Staying in Ely

More than just a university residence, Ely offers students a ‘home away from home’ where a spirit of family is fostered. We organise various activities throughout the year designed to complement a student’s studies, not distract from them, and to help them develop universal skills and see their future professional life as a way to serve society.

Admissions

Students who are thinking about the possibility of applying to stay in Ely are welcome to visit the centre by arrangement (with their family if they would like). They will be shown around the centre and introduced to other residents.

Fees

Fees are €7,800 for a 30 week academic year, paid in two instalments (September and January). This includes a single room, cleaning, bed linen, meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), personal laundry, all utilities, wifi, and full use of the study facilities, sitting rooms and conference room. Residents staying for longer, either side of the 30 week period, need to pay a weekly rate of €260 for any extra weeks or part thereof (there is no day-rate).

Who may apply?

We welcomes students from all social, ethnic and religious backgrounds. We do, however, have some basic requirements. We are a male only residence (although we have a sister residence for women), we only admit students between the ages of 18 and 26, and we can only offer places for language school students during the summer months (June, July and August).
